Our executive advisory services emanate from two sides of the same coin - large organizational change and innovation. We are a specialized boutique advisory firm. Following are a few case studies of how we've assisted our clients. Because we are working many times with proprietary strategies and technologies, company and individual names are not included here. Of course, we can share specific examples and references privately as needed.


The Marketing Organization of a $1.7B Manufacturing Company

This client's challenge was how best to sustain growth and to better lead the large number of changes expected in the near future.

The relationship began with Leadership Circle for the executive team of ten, including both line and staff executives, reporting to the CEO. Additionally, the Change Project Management - The Next Step System was implemented with the organization's Project Management Office via workshop and process integration activities. The System for leading change was used in a company wide change initiative in order for the PMO and the organization to customize The System and allow complete integration for the future. We played an advisory role during this project, participating directly with the change leadership team and sitting on the project steering committee.

In the two years we've been working with this client we have added a Leadership Circle group for an executive team of a foreign subsidiary. We've integrated our Personal Brilliance Innovation/Problem Solving Model within the company-wide leadership development program. Via Leadership Circle, we have provided coaching at every level of the organization.

Just one example of our contribution - Due to the 60/40 mind set of Leadership Circle the executive team looked at a particular problem differently than before, a more cross-boundary perspective, resulting in a savings of $400,000.


The Office of the CIO of a Fortune 100 Insurance Company

It was time for the project management capability of this organization to mature to the next level of delivery. With more than 100 project managers and the recent implementation of a robust project management methodology the style of leadership was very compliance oriented. A shift to a more customer focus was desired.

Leadership Circle enables the leadership team to develop a consistent leadership approach. Because there is no one project that is typical in an organization this large, the approach to layer the art of change leadership upon the science of project management is more complicated. We utilized Change Leadership Circle for the top thirty two project managers - the thought leaders of the group over two years. This allowed the implementation of solid change leadership techniques in a variety of change projects throughout the organization.

As a direct result of Leadership Circle and the continuity of leadership engendered this division led the company in positive employee engagement scores.

Quietly Change Project Management - The Next Step techniques are being used throughout, having a positive impact on the return on investment of a variety of projects.


CEO of a start-up professional services firm

The challenge - how to best grow a company with the desired values of the founder.

The CEO, a serial entrepreneur, after a number of experiences sought an outside perspective to be applied during the 'busyness' of the start-up phase. There was a clear realization that it is easy to lose the purpose as you are in hyper-growth mode.

Interestingly, the majority of our interactions occurred in quiet four-hour sessions on the golf course. Coaching occurred with all of the principles of the firm over time. Additionally, meetings took place with the CEO's spouse to help clarify roles as the firm grew.

The firm ultimately was grown and sold successfully with all of the CEO's goals met.
